We’re back! We took a little Wedding Venue Wednesday break in July. Actually, Tammy was off exploring one of the fantastic Sandals resorts – but more on that later!
Exploring Clearwater Beach
In past Wedding Venue Wednesday blog posts, we’ve featured several other Clearwater Beach wedding venues. We’ve done beautiful weddings at the Wyndham Grand Clearwater Beach.
And our Special Moments Event Planning team is frequently found at the Opal Collection hotels on Clearwater Beach, which include The Opal Sands and the Sandpearl.
But another don’t miss property along Clearwater Beach is the Hyatt Regency Clearwater! And lately, we’ve been doing more and more events there.
Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach
Technically known as the Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach Resort and Spa, this magnificent pale pink resort is just steps from the sand.

The hotel’s 250-plus spacious guest rooms are well appointed, many with full kitchenettes. Amenities for guests include an 8th-floor pool and deck, easy walkability to Pier 60, a fabulous spa, and the hotel’s SHOR American Grill.
Weddings at the Hyatt Clearwater Beach
The Sky Terrace is one of the most popular venues at the Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach. Perfect for sunset wedding ceremonies or dinner under the stars. It’s one of the most popular spaces with our Special Moments Event Planning Clients.
Lindsay and Joey’s beautiful wedding ceremony began on the Sky Terrace and then transitioned to the luxurious Aqualea Ballroom. Aqualea is the largest of several reception options accommodating nearly 200 guests for a seated reception.
More than Just Weddings
In 2019, our Special Moments Event Planning team was brought in to help with a surprise wedding proposal.
The Caladesi Room was designed with a pathway of 10,000 red rose petals, flickering candles, and a specially selected playlist.
Nathan got down on one knee, and Alona said YES!
Those photos shared on social media have led to several calls for our team to help several grooms pop the question!

Recently, one of our proposals also included a gender reveal. And the Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach was the perfect location.
