Until Further Notice… Celebrate Everything!
You may have met our incredible Special Moments Event Planning couple, Lari and David in a recent blog post about their fun Second Line that stopped traffic in downtown St Petersburg.
We met this awesome couple through a tasting event at Delectables Fine Catering and it was instant chemistry.
Until Further Notice
We picked this phrase as the title for their wedding blog, it pretty much sums up the couple. The phrase was found in several places throughout the wedding details and the intimate garden wedding was about the celebration of love, friend, family, fun, and wonderful food.
Love Letters
After a morning of relaxing and getting ready, Lari and David read love letters they had sent to each other before their first look on the porch of the inn.
It was heartwarming to see the two of them together, you can see just how much in love they are.
First We Drink
As with all of the details of the wedding, each step was thoughtful and personal.
As wedding guests arrived in the garden they were treated to Champagne, Fruit, and Cheese before the ceremony.
Not only did it allow for everyone to relax and mingle prior to the wedding but it set the stage perfectly for the Second Line during what would traditionally be the cocktail hour.
The garden area was decorated with floral arrangements on high-top cocktail tables, with some of the arrangements floating on the pool, just off the to the side of the wedding ceremony location.
Touching and Personal
The outdoor garden wedding was free-spirited and nontraditional with a Cajun Queen welcoming wedding guests who explained the custom handkerchiefs they had been given as well as the upcoming Second Line.
The wedding ceremony included several very touching moments that included readings and a blessing by a Shaman and of course Lari and David’s wedding vows and exchanging of rings.
Second Line
Be sure to check out the couple’s fun, unique Second Line. Not only was it something different, but it was the perfect transition as our team reset the garden with clusters of seating and food stations.
At Last
After leading their wedding guests back into the garden, Lari and David shared their first dance to the iconic At Last by Etta James. This was followed by several touching toasts by their wedding party and an open mic for additional toasts.
{PRO TIP: An open mic for additional toasts requires really knowing and trusting your family and friends, how long they might speak and what they might say, and works best with a very intimate crowd}
Guests then enjoyed butler passed appetizers, delicious food stations and a night filled with dancing before Lari and David’s cake Cutting to Everlasting Love by Natalie Cole.
In addition to the wedding cake, guests were treated to butler passed Death By Chocolate, Lemon Meringue and Pumpkin Spice Latte cupcakes.
Our Special Moments Event Planning team loved the special touches that were included in this intimate garden wedding to make it unique and personalized.
Congratulations, Lari and David, we wish you a lifetime of joy and happiness!
Thank you to all of the wedding professionals who made this wedding day so special.
