Kali and Zach’s Incredible Sand Key Wedding!
Every couple and every wedding is unique. It’s infused with their personalities and sense of humor.
For Kali and Zach’s Sand Key wedding, that might be the understatement of the year. You see, Kali is a writer and performer with her own one woman show. Need we say more?
Rumor is that Kali and her mom have been stalking our Special Moments Event Planning social media since we planned her cousin’s wedding a few years back. We just clicked!
But we’ll let Kali’s Google review sum things up!
The wedding was beautiful. It had everything from the traditional Greek Orthodox wedding to the fun personal touches. One person described the style as Victorian Beauty and The Beast meets 90s Goth.
Well, she’s a beauty, but Zach is certainly no beast!
Pretty in Pink
The color story for the wedding was shades of pink and red with gold and white accents. Everything, from invitations to signage, personal touches, and accessories, was bold and beautiful.
Ready Dad?
Following hair and makeup at her family home, it was time for a little one-on-one time with her father. We love father-daughter first looks!
With Zach and the guys already at the church, it was time for Kali, her parents, and the wedding party to make their way across town.
Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church
Our Special Moments Event Planning team loves weddings in this church. It’s pretty spectacular, and only a few floral touches are needed.
With guests seated and Zach in place, it was time for the bride, escorted by her father, to make her entrance.
The couple exchanged rings and vows in a beautiful, traditional wedding ceremony before sealing their vows with a kiss.
After a few photos inside the sanctuary, the newlyweds exited as guests gathered outside and tossed fresh lavender.
Meanwhile, at the Sheraton Sand Key.
After the wedding ceremony, guests went to Sand Key and the hotel for cocktail hour. The sounds of a string quartet greeted guests while they enjoyed cocktails and passed hors d’oeuvres.
We adore their signature cocktails and their sense of humor. It pays to know your audience!
A Night To Remember
Inside the ballroom, the space was layered in a shade of pink and red with an accent of gold. A gold-patterned charger plated with pink napkins cascading over the edge was layered with custom menu cards and name plaques.
Eclectic floral arrangements, floating candles, and tiny pink boxes containing wedding favors filled the center of each table.
In the center of the room, just beyond the dancefloor, was an incredible head table seated twenty. The table was dressed in deep red linen, and the center was filled with greenery and chunky pillar candles.
Kali and Zach took some time away from the cocktail hour for a quick sneak peek at the reception decor. We’re pretty sure they loved what they saw. And how adorable that pink cake is, not to mention Kali’s purse!
Let’s Get The Party Started!
Guest enjoyed tableside wine service as they took their seats. With everyone in place, it was time for introductions and the newlywed’s first dance to “One Last Breath” by Creed.
During the Salad course, Kali and Zach enjoyed the magnificent sunset for some incredible Sand Key wedding portraits.
Returning, they stopped long enough for a quick photo op, cutting their four-tiered pink wedding cake before enjoying a delicious multi-course dinner.
The next order of business was several touching, personalized, and often comical toasts followed by traditional Mother-Son and Father-Daughter dances.
What’s Goin’ On?
Suddenly, in the middle of the father-daughter, Kali started flipping and twisting and twirling her dad. Or not, LOL
After that brief comical intermission, it was time to open the dance floor, and the bride, who is no stranger to the stage, opened the dance floor by singing with the band.
Beyond that, there were delicious desserts, late-night snacks, and dancing. Lots of dancing, and lots of Greek dancing!
And that, dear readers, is how you throw a party!
Congratulations, Kali and Zach! We wish you a lifetime of happiness, and thank you for making us smile!
