Chelsea and Joey’s Opal Sands Wedding

Chelsea and Joey’s Opal Sands Wedding was absolutely a family affair. One that our Special Moments Event Planning team won’t soon forget.

You might remember hearing about Chelsea and Joey in our blog post “Sealed With A Kiss on Boca Ciega Bay.” That blog was about the wedding of Chelsea’s brother Brent and his bride Emily! Yes, two family weddings in a year.

You see, we started planning with Chelsea and Joey a long time ago. But their wedding was postponed due to Covid restrictions – moving it to one year from the initial wedding day Brent and Emily’s wedding happened first. Still with us?

 

The Big Day Is Finally Here

With the big day finally here, Chelsea spent the morning celebrating with her bridal party. The ladies kicked back, enjoyed some champagne, and had some fun before getting dressed.

 

 

A Special Moment with Dad

After she finished dressing, Chelsea took a few minutes for the first look with her dad.

 

The Bride and Bridal Party Portraits

After spending a few special moments with her dad, Chelsea and her bridal party headed off for some photos together around the resort.

Chelsea looked spectacular in her lace embellished wedding gown with a sweetheart neckline. Her fabulous cascading bridal bouquet in soft tones with touches of greenery was the perfect accessory.

 

Let’s Not Forget Joey!

Joey spent the morning with the guys, relaxing and having their accessories photographed before getting dressed. The groom got a little help with his tie, from his dad, before putting on his jacket and heading off with the guys for some photos.

 

 

A Gulf View Wedding Ceremony

After completing the morning photos, Joey and his guys made their way to the terrace for the outdoor wedding ceremony. With everyone in place and plenty of petals scattered, Chelsea was escorted down the aisle by her father.

 

With the Gulf of Mexico shimmering in the background, the couple exchanged their wedding vows. At the end of the ceremony, the newlyweds sealed their vows with a kiss before the traditional breaking of the glass.

 

While wedding guests enjoyed a cocktail on the terrace, the newlyweds snuck off for a few photos before the reception.

 

Dinner and Dancing at the Opal Sands

Inside, the ballroom was draped with soft white fabric. Tables were layered with crisp white linen and accented with sea glass charger plates. Tablescapes included modern eclectic arrangements of white and pastel pink floral arrangements on glass columns and floating candles in glass cylinders.

After introductions, Chelsea and Joey took to the dance floor for their first dance to ‘Speechless” by Dan and Shay. The evening continued with fabulous food, a few sweet toasts, and lots of dancing.

Congratulations, Chelsea and Joey. We wish you a sweet life together, surrounded by family and friends.
