“Yub nub!”
Our Special Moments Event Planning team was no stranger to Alicia and William, as we had worked with Alicia’s family assisting with her sister’s wedding this past December.
The couple were huge fans of Star Wars, so May the 4th seemed like the perfect date for a wedding with a few nods to the Star Wars brand.
Alicia wore a simple white flowing sheath dress with a crisscross back detail and carried a stunning bridal bouquet incorporating three types of orchids, white calla lilies, and tropical greenery.
After a morning relaxing and getting ready, the couple and their wedding party made their way to St Ignatius Catholic Church in Tarpon Springs. Alicia and William had chosen not to see each other before their wedding but snuck a “first touch” and exchanged a few loving words before the wedding ceremony.
After exchanging their wedding vows, the couple along with their family and friends, were transported to the newly opened Fenway Hotel in Dunedin. They had actually selected this beautifully restored historic site during its construction, and the fantastic property lived up to their expectation.
As wedding guests arrived, they were treated to a cocktail hour on the Fenway’s outside terrace with Signature Cocktails named for the wedding date and the Star Wars theme.

Everyone was invited into the Caladesi Ballroom, overlooking St. Joseph’s Sound, for a fun-filled evening of dinner and dancing.
Guest tables were draped in textured white linens accented with live blooming orchid plants or glass cylinders with orchids and floating candles and crackle glass votive candles added a little more sparkle to the place setting.
A long feasting table anchored one side of the ballroom, adorned with goblets of floating candles and modern, geometric wedding party bouquets of tropical flowers and greenery.
Alicia and William made their entrance under crossed light-sabers to the Imperial March from the Star Wars Soundtrack.
They kicked off the evening with their choreographed first dance to Elton John’s Can You Feel The Love Tonight, before inviting guests to enjoy a delicious buffet dinner with tableside wine service.
A fun evening continued with touching wedding toasts, and fun parent dances before Alicia and William cut their three-layer chocolate cake along with other yummy desserts including Key Lime and Dutch Apple Pies, Chocolate Cupcakes and White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies.
Congratulations Alicia and William, we know you had a blast!
Thank you to all of the wedding vendors who brought Alicia and William’s wedding day to life.

Yub Nub is an Ewok phrase very loosely translated as “celebration,” Yub Nub is a lyric in the rousing song heard during the final scene in the Ewok village of Return of the Jedi.
