We Went To a Garden Party

Kayla and Chris’ Garden Party wedding at David Islands Garden Club was something special.

Kayla had a very clear vision of the garden wedding, especially the flowers; her mother has a background in floral design. And, this wedding was very special to our Special Moments Event Planning team as Kayla is also Tammy and Jennifer‘s niece.

The Morning of the Wedding

The morning of the wedding, the ladies all headed out for hair and makeup services. They returned to the hotel for a bit of lunch and some fun bonding time.

Kayla looked stunning! Her lace embellished wedding gown, fingertip veil, and elegant bridal bouquet were perfect for a garden wedding. Everything about her wedding party was ideal for the warm spring wedding.

Chris and the guys hung out as well, getting dressed, doing some photos together, and a few toasts.

As the wedding party headed off to Davis Island by water taxi, Kayla took a few minutes for a first look and time with her dad.

After arriving at the garden club, the couple had their first look and enjoyed the beautiful gardens for some wonderful portraits.

 

Can’t Help Falling In Love

The lawn was set for a beautiful waterfront wedding ceremony. Dark wooden chairs led to a metallic moon gate ceremony structure decorated with soft pink florals and greenery.

Chris waited anxiously as Kayla, and her father made their way down the aisle.

Kayla and Chris exchanged their wedding vows in a beautiful ceremony, surrounded by family and friends.

 

Dinner and Dancing in the Garden

Tables draped in crisp white linen filled the garden. They were accented with gold-rimmed glass charger plates, vintage glassware, custom menu cards, and beautiful floral arrangements.

 

After their introductions, the newlyweds took to the dancefloor for their first dance to “This Is It” by Scott McCreery. They followed up by welcoming all of their family and friends before enjoying a delicious buffet dinner.

Dinner was followed by a few touching toasts and the new Mr. and Mrs. cutting their wedding cake before opening the dance floor for the evening. How adorable is the vintage gazebo for displaying a wedding cake?
