This is Halloween!

ToniMarie and Angel’s October wedding was just before Halloween. This adorable couple wanted a dark and moody wedding design as a nod to ‘Nightmare Before Christmas.’ This wedding with deep rich tones of black and purple, held in an old courthouse, was everything they wanted.

 

A Change of Plans

Initially, ToniMarie and Angel’s plans were to host a block of rooms and their rehearsal dinner at the Le Meridien Hotel in downtown Tampa. About nine months before the wedding, after revisiting the hotel, they decided it was exactly what they wanted for their wedding day.

The hotel is located in what was an old Federal Courthouse retains many of the old historic elements, blended with modern luxurious features. It had all the feels, from tall stone columns as the backdrop to their wedding ceremony to hosting the wedding reception in the original courtroom.

 

Setting the Stage

After a morning with her wedding party, and hair and makeup, ToniMarie gave the girls quick look before heading off to see her father. Needless to say, dad was a little overwhelmed.

We love the photos of the bride surrounded by the hotel’s incredible marble walls. The light from the enormous windows was magical, washing over her beautiful wedding gown. And her bridal bouquet, with its rich tones and texture, was amazing.

 

 

I’ve Waited A Hundred Years

The outdoor ceremony space was set on the steps facing the tall columns and beautiful details of the building. Purple and white floral arrangements with tall silver branches framed the area where the couple, who have known each other forever, would finally exchange their wedding vows.

With everyone in place, ToniMarie, escorted by her father, made her entrance to ‘Turning Page’ by Sleeping At Last.

Surrounded by family and friends, the couples exchanged rings and the vows they wrote for each other. They were touched by the number of people who offered well wishes and honked their horns as they passed.

A Sneak Peek A The Reception

Wedding guest made their way to the pool area for cocktails while the newlyweds and their wedding party took time for a few photos.

The couple made their way to the ballroom for a sneak peek at how everything came together. Our Special Moments Event Planning team created a seating chart with a Nightmare Before Christmas vibe. Tables were draped with matte black linens to accent the silver charger plates and lush floral arrangements in deep purple, lavender, and white.

Their sweetheart table was set on a riser overlooking the room. Luxurious floral arrangements framed their table accented by purple lighting around the room. Even the custom place card with the guests’ entrée selection fit the theme.

Another incredible detail of the wedding reception was their five-tier white and silver wedding cake, accented with purple flowers – created by the groom’s aunt.

Before leaving the ballroom, the couple took time for some spectacular portraits with the fantastic cold spark fountains.

 

From This Moment

Following introductions to ‘This is Halloween’ by Marilyn Manson, the newlyweds took to the dance floor for their first dance to ‘From This Moment.’

The evening continued with touching toasts, special family dances, a delicious dinner, dessert table, photo booth, and plenty of dancing.

The couple and their friends ended the spectacular evening with sparklers and a Grand Exit.
