The Beach Is Our Happy Place

Our Special Moments Event Planning team has a wonderful time planning with Abby and Lance. Their comment “the beach is our happy place (why we live in Iowa…who knows)” speaks volumes about their Clearwater Beach destination wedding.

You see, they look very relaxed and at home on the beaches of Florida despite having done all of their wedding planning long distance. They never came to Clearwater for a tasting and did not meet our Lead Dream Maker, Tammy until the wedding rehearsal.

Hiring Tammy was the best wedding decision. I was truly able to feel confident and relaxed on my wedding day. She didn’t miss a detail, and even took it upon herself to go above and beyond. I honestly didn’t give too much direction, but from the information I provided, she made my dreams and vision come true. She was key and essential on our wedding day and loved having her assistance throughout the process! Made it that much smoother and day of that much more wonderful!

Abby looked stunning in her custom designed Matthew Christopher wedding gown as she made her way across the lawn of the Sandpearl Resort for her first look with husband-to-be, Lance.

Her custom empire sheath gown of silk crepe had a stunning cut out back that highlighted her waist and was accented by silk crepe covered buttons that extend the length of the chapel length train. Her unique bridal bouquet of white roses, King Protea, and waxflower was the perfect accessory the simple but elegant gown.

 

 

 

The resort’s Gulf Lawn was decorated with a bamboo wedding arch adorned with giant Monstera leaves and palm branches, with the shimmering Gulf of Mexico as the backdrop.

Steel Drums played as Lance, wearing tan shorts and a white linen shirt waited anxiously for his bride. Abby was escorted down the aisle by her father to “I can’t Help Falling In Love with you by Elvis Presley.

After exchanging their wedding vows the couple took time for photos with their family and wedding party before finishing up with some sunset wedding photos along Clearwater Beach.

Guests made their way inside to the resort’s Cove Ballroom, overlooking the beach, for an night filled with amazing food stations and dancing.

After dinner the couple had their first dance to “Me & You” by Kenny Chesney before cutting this incredible two-tiered naked wedding cake brushed in shimmering gold.

Congratulations Abby and Lance, we are so glad we were a part of your beautiful Clearwater Beach destination wedding.
