Sweet Details and Sunsets on the Sky Terrace

Earlier this year, our Special Moments Event Planning team got to work with Esme and Nicholas on their Clearwater Beach wedding.

 

Theirs was yet another wedding was postponed because of early Covid restrictions. And, this couple was ready to come together with their closest family and friends.

 

The Sky Terrace

The 16th floor Sky Terrace at the Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach was set for their wedding ceremony overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. The lighting was beautiful, and two tall white and blue floral columns created an elegant backdrop.

The aisle was lined with clusters of white roses, and a harpist set the mood before Esme made her down the aisle to the Bridal Chorus by Wagner.

 

Midnight Sun

The couple had a beautiful wedding ceremony during what many consider ‘golden hour,’ that time just before sunset when the lighting is magical.

And we love the inscription inside of the wedding band—midnight sun. Not sure what it means to them, but paired with the ceremony’s glow, it was memorable.

The newlyweds sealed their vows with a kiss to the sounds Beautiful Day by U2.

 

The Bellaire Terrace and Ballroom

Following the wedding ceremony, Esme and Nicholas took time for some photos. At the same time, guests made their way to the Bellaire Terrace for Cocktails.

Inside the Bellaire Ballroom, everything was in place for the reception. The floral towers had been repurposed from the wedding ceremony and now flanked the couple’s sweetheart table. Tables were dressed in crisp white linen and draped with light blue table runners. Gold chivari chairs wrapped in white sashes, textured gold charger plates, and delicate clusters of floral arrangements completed the look.

The newlyweds followed their introductions with their first dance, followed by a delicious multi-course dinner and several touching toasts.

 

Something Sweet

After an evening filled with dancing, the couple cut their three-tiered white wedding cake with light blue buttercream flowers. Their cake plates with LOVE in gold script paired with gold cake forks embossed with I Do were a sweet touch.

Beyond the delicious wedding cake, guests enjoyed a Churro, Mini Donut, and Macaron station before calling it a night.
