Sunshine, Starfish and a Great Backup Plan
Noelle and Derek’s Clearwater Beach wedding, with our Special Moments Event Planning team started out beautifully with lots of sunshine and an awesome team of vendors.
Noelle looked incredible in her organza gown with lace overlay and bodice, and a mantilla with lace applique trim that framed her face and long blond hair.
Her oversized bridal bouquet was made of roses in several shades of blush, white cymbidium orchids with pale pink accents and soft pink astilbe. This combination of colors created the color story for the wedding.
Derek looked handsome in his navy blue patterned suit with blue paisley necktie. The subtle touches of texture set him apart from his groomsmen who wore solid navy suits with pale champagne neckties.
One of our favorite details were the guys beachy socks with pink flamingos. They were a great pop of color and a lot of fun.
Their beach wedding ceremony with its wooden ceremony structure, fabric accents and swags of blush and white florals were all in place. The ceremony space was set with white garden chairs, chrome lanterns and clusters of pink flowers lining the aisle.
While the sun shined on their Clearwater Beach wedding ceremony, our team had been watching the weather reports. After seeing the local radar and a discussion with the Sandpearl Resort team, we made the call to move the reception dinner indoors.
Noelle and Derek laughed, exchanged wedding vows and included a sand ceremony in their beach wedding.
Guests enjoyed a cocktail reception while the couple took time for some family and wedding party photos.
Inside, the starfish escort cards were being lined up as other details for the indoor wedding reception were being finalized. Shimmering linen in a blush tone draped a series of long and round tables that followed the same design plan as the original outdoor reception.
Tables were set with pink napkins, rose gold votive candles and arrangements of pink and white flowers with fairy lights.
In moving the reception indoors, plans were made so that the dance party could be indoors or outdoors under the stars if weather permitted. Noelle and Derek enjoyed their first dance before a few toasts and dinner.
Once dinner was finished the couple cut their wedding cake before everyone made their way back out to the beach lawn for dancing. The outdoor dance floor was circled by flickering chrome lanterns, with market lights overhead.
The break in the weather created the perfect atmosphere to end the night on a high note.
Congratulation Noelle and Derek!
Thank you to all of the wedding vendors who made this day so amazing.
