Starfish, Sand, and Seafood at the Opal Sands
The Opal Sands Resort was the ideal location for Lindsey and Shawn’s beautiful Clearwater beach wedding. With some rainy weather rolling in, the indoor spaces offered them a beautiful Plan B space and backdrops for wedding photos. And the couple could not have been sweeter.
Getting Ready at the Opal Sands
Lindsey spent the morning with her bridal party getting ready and taking some time for some super cute photos as the morning started.
We love her wedding gown with the opaque fabric and the shimmering geometric lines.
Meanwhile, on another floor of the hotel, Shawn was getting ready with his wedding party. From the light purple neckties to the boutonnieres with silver starfish, a theme carried through the wedding, he and the guys looked very handsome. They also managed to get some outdoor photos.
Lindsey and Shawn’s First Look
Lindsey took some time for a few beautiful bridal portraits in her suite before heading off for her and Shawn’s first look and photos together.
We love the nervous look of anticipation on Shan’s face as he could tell Lindsey would be walking up behind him. The photos of them together are too sweet.
With the entire wedding party gathered around, they took some time for a few photos before the wedding ceremony.
Moving the Ceremony Indoors
The indoor space outside the ballroom created a beautiful backdrop of the couple’s wedding ceremony. The floor-to-ceiling windows with soft white drapes, indoor trees, and the décor moved inside create an intimate setting.
Shawn barely held back tears as Lindsey made her way down the aisle to Pachelbel’s Canon in D. Surrounded by family and friends, the two exchanged their wedding vows.
Mojitos and Steel Drums
Guest enjoyed the sounds of steel drums while sipping mojitos during cocktail hour.
Meanwhile, the couple snuck off for more amazing photos together.
A Night of Dinner and Dancing
After their introductions, the newlyweds took to the dancefloor for their first dance to “Better Together” by Luke Combs. Their first dance was followed by a delicious dinner featuring lots of fresh seafood.
The reception buffet stations began with Individual Wedge and an Heirloom Tomatoes and Burrata Salad. It also included an incredible Fresh Seafood Raw Bar with Shrimp, Crab Claws, Oysters, and Seafood Ceviche. The main course stations had Carved Tenderloin of Beef, creamy Lobster Mac and Cheese, and Crab Cakes.
The rest of the evening was filled with dancing and more delicious food as the couple cut this incredible four-tiered beach-themed wedding cake. The cake came complete with sand, a sunset, and starfish.
