Olivia and Tomas’ Dusty Blue Opal Sands Wedding

This Opal Sands wedding is adorable!

As you’ll see, Olivia and Tomas are too cute for words! The two met in college at Florida State University {GO NOLES!} and were friends for several years before they ever started dating.

One day, after they were in Graduate School, they both realized how compatible they were. The rest is history!

Their Clearwater Beach wedding is a color story of soft dusty blue, white, and driftwood, capturing a casually elegant beachside wedding.

 

Details and Dressing

The bride, groom, and their wedding parties spent the afternoon getting ready at opposite ends of the resort.

For Olivia and the ladies, there was time for some fun photos, including these awesome pajama shots. There was also time to capture the details and some group photos.

 

 

Tomas spent time with the guys, a few photos with his mother, and time capturing his wedding day accessories.

 

 

Here Comes The Bride!

Arriving guests were greeted with a glass of champagne outside on the event lawn. They made their way down an aisle lined with lanterns overflowing with greenery and took their places overlooking the Gulf of Mexico.

With everyone in their places, Olivia, escorted by her parents, made her entrance to the Bridal Chorus. Tomas began to get the biggest grin as he saw her for the first time.

 

 

The couple exchanged rings and wedding vows before sealing them with a kiss and making their exit to LOVE by Nat King Cole.

 

 

Golden Hour

Following the wedding ceremony, wedding guests headed off to the hotel’s second-floor mezzanine for cocktail hour.

Meanwhile, the newlyweds took time for some family photos and a few wedding party photos before heading off to the beach for Golden Hour. 

 

 

Golden Hour is that incredible time leading up to sunset when the light is just perfect for incredible wedding portraits—especially on Clearwater Beach!

 

A Night At The Beach

Inside the ballroom, tables were set with crisp white linens, driftwood-inspired charger plates, and table tops decorated with soft dusty blue runners, driftwood, shells, coral, and shimmering candles. Handcrafted seashell cookie wedding favors completed the place settings.

The couple’s sweetheart table reflected the same beach-inspired decor and was surrounded by the lanterns and flowers from their wedding ceremony. Off to one side was a simple, elegant, three-tiered white wedding cake with a custom cake topper.

 

 

The newlyweds made their entrance to Jump The Line by Harry Belafonte before taking to the dance floor for their first dance to Settle Down Easy by Rebellion. We love the eclectic mix of music the couple selected throughout the night.

 

 

The evening continued with Welcome Toasts by the Father of the Bride and the Mother of the groom, a delicious multi-course dinner, and several touching toasts.

 

 

After their cake-cutting, the couple headed to the dance floor, joined by their family and friends and danced the night away. Closing out the evening with You Shook Me All Night Long by AC/DC!
