Ngan and Mike’s Clearwater Beach Wedding
Ngan and Mike are too adorable. They are super sweet and have surrounded themselves with loving family and friends. Their wedding day honors their heritage and those family and friends.
An Early Start to The Day
For Ngan and the ladies, there was a very early start to the wedding day, with hair and makeup, some fun photos, a quick toast, and getting ready for the morning’s first event.
Across the resort, Mile and the guys had a little later start but were ready and dressed for the 10 AM Tea Ceremony.
The Tea Ceremony
The Tea Ceremony is a traditional ceremony in which the Bride and Groom display appreciation to their parents in the act of giving tea. It also symbolizes both families welcoming the bride and groom into the other’s family.
The private ceremony included a beautiful backdrop that would be transformed and used later in the reception, a beautiful Tea service, and gifts for family and friends.
Get Me To The Church On Time
Following the Tea Ceremony, the couple, family, and guests were transported to the church for the wedding ceremony.
With everyone in place, Ngan, escorted by her mother, made their way down the aisle. The first site of his bride-to-be left Mike a little overwhelmed.
The couple exchanged wedding rings and vows, sealing their vows with a kiss.
The couple made their grand exit and were greeted by family and friends with beautiful ribbon wands.
Cocktails and Hors d’Oeuvres
Following the wedding ceremony, guests returned to the resort for cocktail hour on the hotel’s Mezzanine level.
Everyone enjoyed cocktails that included the couple’s Signature Cocktails:
His: A Gin Gentleman – Gin, Lime Juice, and Lime Garnish.
Hers: A Blushing Bride – Vodka, Peach Schnapps and Grapefruit Juice.
The cocktail Hour also included a delicious Chilled Seafood Raw Bar featuring Jumbo Gulf Shrimp, Oysters, Cocktail Crab Claws, and local Fish Ceviche.
Passed Hors d’Oeuvres offered included Applewood Bacon Wrapped Diver Scallop, Beef Tenderloin Crostini, Boursin Cheese and Red Onion Marmalade, Crab Cakes with Remoulade Sauce, Maine Lobster Salad with a Wheatberry Lemon Aioli, and Tuna Tartar with Wasabi Creme on a Wonton Crisp.
Simple, Elegant Decor in Pink, Red and White
Inside the ballroom, everything was in place for a night full of great food and dancing.
The tables were draped with crisp white linens. Clear Acrylic chiavari chairs added a modern touch to the tablescapes. Tables were set with simple centerpieces of red and pink flowers surrounded by floating candles.
Each place setting held a pink napkin rolled into a beautiful rose, set on a white charger plate that also had the guest’s wedding favor.
Off to one side of the couple’s Sweetheart Table was a two-tiered white wedding cake accented with a custom cake topper and fresh flowers.
The bride and groom snuck in for a quick peek, a run-through of their first dance, and a photo in front of the Moon Gate repurposed from their Tea Ceremony – a great photo op for guests throughout the night.
A Delicious Wedding Banquet
Following introductions, the newlyweds took to the dance floor for their first dance. They were terrific, so practicing paid off.
After the first dance, there was a welcome toast by the Father of the Groom.
The first course of the dinner was Ginger Braised Pork Belly with Sweet Potato Puree, Baby Spinach, and a Cherry Bourbon Glaze.
The next course was a refreshing Salad of Cucumber Wrapped Artisanal Greens, Tomatoes, Radish, Goat Cheese, Oven Roasted Strawberries, Candied Walnuts, and a Sherry Vinaigrette.
Entree selections included Parmesan Crusted Grouper Served with a Rose Sauce or Seared Filet Mignon with Port Wine Demi-Glaze.
The Gluten-free / Vegan entree option was an incredible Seared Cauliflower Steak with Spaghetti Squash, Roasted Wild Mushrooms, and Cashew Cream.
The evening continued with several touching toasts, a little fun with a photo booth, the couple’s cake cutting, and a dessert display that included Mini Cheese Cakes, Chocolate Covered Strawberries, Tiramisu, Flourless Chocolate Cake, Mango Cake Pops, and French Macaroons.
Following the couple’s parent dances, everyone took to the dance floor for the rest of the evening.
It was a night that Ngan and Mike will never forget! Congratulations!
