Mickie & Bill’s Davis Islands Garden Club Wedding

Mickie and Bill’s Davis Islands Garden Club wedding was simple and elegant. They had a beautiful, relaxed wedding day, surrounded by family and friends.

The Voice of Experience

However, that’s not exactly what they originally envisioned. When we first met, they were planning a tented cocktail party at their home on the water.

Once we started to explore things like parking and logistics of vendors’ needs, the conversation quickly turned to the options of Davis Islands Garden Club and their beautiful outdoor space.

The Adorable Couple

Mickie and Bill spent the morning getting ready and didn’t see each other until their wedding ceremony.

Mickie looked like a queen with her soft flowing wedding gown. It suited her to a T. And with her sparkling crown, her simple bouquet of white roses and greenery was the perfect accent.

And, of course, Bill looked handsome in his soft grey suit, patterned bow tie, and white floral boutonniere.

The Perfect Backdrop

The wedding venue’s beautiful gazebo was draped in flowing white fabric and accented with swags of fresh flowers with lanterns on the stairs. The waterfront location was the perfect backdrop for Mickie and Bill to exchange their wedding vows.

Dinner and Dancing

Following the wedding ceremony and lots of family photos, the newlyweds and their guests enjoyed a cocktail-style reception under the open-air pavilion.

Mickie and Bill made their grand entrance and took to the dance floor for their first dance. It certainly wasn’t their last time on the dance floor. They danced the night away, taking only a short break for a bite to eat and to cut their wedding cake.

Congratulations, Mickie and Bill! We’re glad we were there for so many of your special moments.
