Leah and Charles’ Afternoon Wedding in Tampa

Once upon a time, a princess and her prince were married in a beautiful afternoon wedding in Tampa.

But seriously, Leah and Charles resembled royalty. Their stunning color palette, featuring shades of light and navy blue paired with white and silver, created a regal and elegant atmosphere. The Tampa church where they were married looked as if it was straight out of a fairytale.

An Early Start

With a ceremony at eleven in the morning, Leah and her wedding party had an early start to their day, getting ready at her parents’ home. There were lots of little details, including hair and makeup, getting dressed, taking photos, and a limo ride across town.

Charles and the guys didn’t start quite as early but got ready at their Tampa hotel and headed to the church, preparing for the day ahead.

The Fairytale Continues

The Tampa church where the couple were married continued the fairytale. The inside of the sanctuary is stunning. We love the architecture and iconography. It was the ideal backdrop for their wedding ceremony.

Surrounded by family and friends, Leah and Charles exchanged rings and vows in a beautiful ceremony, sealing their vows with a kiss.

A few family photos and portraits in the church, and the newlyweds were off for their formal portrait session.

A Walk in The Garden

Leah and Charles enjoyed strolling the venue’s gardens and waterfront for their wedding portrait session.

Meanwhile, guests enjoyed cocktail hour. Savoring light bites and refreshments to soft violin music. They were able to find their seating assignments and have some fun in the Photobooth before the afternoon wedding reception.

An Afternoon Wedding Reception

An afternoon wedding reception lets the newlyweds infuse their day with many personal details.

A series of long tables were set with crisp white linens, a navy blue runner, and light blue napkins in a waterfall fold. Tables were dotted with bud vases filled with fresh white flowers and silver-rimmed votive candles. Each place setting was set with Jordan Almonds.

Wedding History:  A traditional Bomboniere is a sachet filled with five Jordan almonds. These sweet treats represent health, wealth, happiness, fertility, and a long life. The odd number also represents the undivided couple.

Another beautiful touch was the couple’s intimate wedding cake, which they chose in a beautiful Wedgewood pattern. This delicious treat would be presented with many other amazing treats later in the reception.

Following introductions, the newlyweds took to the dance floor for their first dance. A blessing and a delicious lunch buffet followed.

Next up were some touching toasts and the couple’s cake-cutting. Desserts and dancing followed. Leah and Charles personalized their reception with a custom coffee cart, delicious cannoli and baklava, and a gelato cart serving Tiramisu, Pistachio, and Stracciatella flavors, along with refreshing Watermelon Sorbet.

The afternoon concluded with several family dances, an Anniversary Dance, and an amazing, unique touch.

Leah and Charles concluded their day with a receiving line as guests left the reception. Their wedding was an ideal size for this personal touch, and the timing was perfect!
