Going to the Chapel with Michelle and Joe

Michelle and Joe’s Dunedin wedding was beautiful, from their wedding ceremony in a historic chapel to the details of the day and the colorful decor of their reception. The day’s colors, textures, and personalization make you smile.

Get Ready

Michelle and the ladies started with some fun photos in the bridal sweet, followed by hair and makeup onsite and capturing the details of the day. Their fur baby, Jackson, made an appearance, too. As the Dog of honor, you’ll see him a lot!

Across the way, Joe and his groomsmen were getting dressed and ready to head to the chapel.

Going To The Chapel

The historic chapel they chose for their wedding ceremony is intimate, has an incredible dark wood interior, and envelopes you like a warm hug.

Touch But Don’t Look

Michelle and Joe chose not to see each other before their wedding ceremony. But they did opt for a special moment to hold hands with one of the chapel’s huge wooden doors between them.

Vows and Rings and Things

With nearly everyone in place, it was almost time for the bride’s entrance. But first, it was time for their ring bearer and flower girl to make their way down the aisle.

Finally, it was time for the big moment. Michelle, escorted by her father, made her entrance to ‘The Bridal March.’

The couple exchanged rings in an intimate wedding ceremony surrounded by family and friends. However, in a unique twist, they exchanged wedding vows in private in the bridal sweet.

Sealing their love with a kiss, they made their way up the aisle to ‘Chapel of Love’ by The Dixie Cups. How appropriate!

Every wedding deserves a Grand Exit, and these newlyweds exited the chapel in storm bubbles.

Smile For the Camera

Everyone gathered outside the chapel for group photos before heading off to cocktail hour.

Our bride and groom and Jackson took some time for photos around the chapel before rejoining gin guests for cocktails and hors d ‘oeuvres.

I’ll Have What Jackson’s Having

One of our favorite details of the day was the Signature Cocktails.

His – an Old Fashioned

Hers – a Classic Mojito with Mint and a Lime

And, Jacksons! A delicious Margarita. Good boy!

Anchors Away

Inside the venue’s ballroom, tables were draped with crisp white linen. Gold charger plates, Chiavari chairs, and table numbers added a little shimmer. The center of each table was dressed with a mirrored tile and eclectic floral arrangements. Shells, driftwood, and sea glass added unique touches to each table.

Each place setting was also set with an anchor-shaped bottle opener—a favor for each wedding guest.

Off to one side was a delicious three-tiered wedding cake with a gold-toned custom cake topper.

Food, Dancing, and Laughter

Following introductions, Michelle and Joe took to the dance floor for their first dance to “Joy of My Life” by Chris Stapleton.

Following a welcome by the bride’s father, there were several touching toasts. Great wedding toasts evoke emotion. And in this case, the newlyweds laughed until they cried!

Everyone enjoyed a delicious multi-course dinner before the newlyweds headed outside for incredible sunset photos along the Gulf of Mexico.

The wedding reception continued with dancing, delicious desserts, and wedding cake before the Last Dance. After their goodbyes, the bride and groom made their exit.
