Breathing a Sigh

Ali and Mike were introduced to our Special Moments Event Planning team about six weeks before their wedding by Gabro Event Services. They were working with them to provide all of the lighting, floral décor, tables, chairs, linen, and their amazing Chuppah.

Getting married at the historic St Petersburg Shuffleboard Club with an outdoor cocktail style reception has a lot of moving pieces. Established in 1924, this landmark venue is the perfect location for a unique outdoor wedding.

Initially, we had a telephone interview with Ali’s mother, an in-person meeting with the couple, and from there we hit the ground running. Bride Ali said she could finally rest after she had hired our team, breathing a big sigh of relief.

The couple and many of their guests relaxed and enjoyed the fantastic Vinoy Hotel in downtown St Pete. The couple had their first look and spent some time exploring the grounds for some fun wedding portraits.

 

 

Over at the shuffleboard club, an army of wedding professionals worked to set up individual clusters of vintage seating, small bistro style tables draped with white linen and bud vases of flowers, food stations, and a fun, unique mobile bar.

 

 

Inside the Shuffleboard Club’s clubhouse, Ali and Mike took time for some photos and prepared for the Ketubah Signing.

 

 

Outside finishing touches were being added to their Chuppah, with fresh roses, ferns, and ivy. Guests gathered under the shade of the shuffleboard club’s stadium seating.

 

 

Ali’s parents escorted her to the Chuppah and her husband-to-be for a traditional Jewish wedding ceremony.

 

 

Following the wedding ceremony guests enjoyed some butler passed hors d’oeuvres including:

 

Asparagus Wrapped Puff Pastry

Sesame Seared Tuna

Buffalo Chicken Spring Roll

Beef Tenderloin Crostini

 

After introducing the bride and groom and several toasts, the guests enjoyed cocktails, multiple food stations, a delicious doughnut display, a fun retro ice cream truck, and bins of gourmet flavored popcorn.

 

 

Needless to say, an amazing time was had by everyone. Congratulations Ali and Mike!
