An Explosion of Tropical Colors

Our Special Moments Event Planning team loved Jenna and Scot’s beautiful tropical-colored wedding at the Opal Sands Resort on Clearwater Beach.

They set the tone of tropical flowers and bright colors with the wedding invitations they selected. Paired with the sunshine and beaches of Florida’s Gulf Coast, the invitation hinted at the beautiful wedding to come.

 

The Bride and Groom

Jenna looked beautiful with her modern lace applique wedding gown. Her bridal bouquet of brightly colored, textured tropical flowers was a huge statement piece.

Scot wore a Navy-blue suit paired with a boutonniere of orchids and a miniature pineapple. We love their first look. They look so in love, and Scot was clearly overcome with emotion seeing his bride.

 

The Wedding Ceremonies

Following their first look, the bride and groom joined their immediate families for a Ketubah signing before some quiet time alone.

Outside, the wedding ceremony space overlooking the Gulf of Mexico awaited the arrival of guests. The Chuppah was draped with a tallit and dressed with foliage and flowers in bright tropical colors. Gold-toned metal lanterns marked the aisle, decorated chairs with swags of flowers and seafoam colored ribbon.

Wedding guests enjoyed the sounds of Disney love songs as they gathered for the wedding ceremony. An entry table held fans designed with the wedding program and a tropical leaf motif, mask, and kippot.

With a wedding party and a special guest in place, Jenna, escorted by her father, made her entrance to ‘Can’t Help Falling in Love by Kina Grannis.

The couple exchanged their wedding vows surrounded by family and friends. We love that they included their fur baby in their wedding ceremony. She looked beautiful in her brightly colored tutu, and she was so well behaved.

 

Chill Tropical Music, Dinner, and Dancing

Wedding guests made their way to the ballroom’s foyer for a cocktail hour set to the sounds of chill, tropical music.

Behind the ballroom doors, all of the details were in place for a magical evening. The custom monogrammed neon sign set the backdrop for the couple’s sweetheart table and wedding cake. The modern, five-tiered wedding cake incorporated blues and golds in modern patterns with a gold riser and a gold and floral center tier.

Shimmering navy-blue linen created a dark, luxurious base for the brightly colored floral centerpieces and gold accents.

After their introductions, the newlyweds took to the dance floor for their first dance to ‘All My Life’ by KC and Jojo, followed by touching family dances, and several toasts. The sounds of a solo saxophone set the stage for a delicious dinner.

Following dinner, the band opened the dance floor with a hora and kept the dance floor packed the entire evening. At the end of the night, the couple and their friends made their way down the beach for an after-party to continue the celebration.
