Allison and Austin’s Downtown Tampa Wedding

Allison and Austin, like many of our client’s weddings, was postponed because of COVID. But, we could not have been happier when it was finally rescheduled. The wedding was sweet and very personal with beautiful details.

This couple, who appear very quiet and serious, has an amazing fun and quirky sense of humor. {check back on the blog in a few weeks as we might have to do a blog post with a bunch of fun, silly photos from throughout the day.}

The Wedding Weekend Begins

Allison and Austin’s wedding weekend began with their wedding rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. They also hosted a Welcome Party Friday at Le Meridien.

On the morning of the wedding, each spent the day getting ready and taking some photos with their wedding parties. One of the things we love about the couple is that each of their wedding parties consisted of family and friends, regardless of their gender.

First Look

The hotel’s stairwell isn’t the ideal place for a first look and portrait session for most couples. However, Le Meridien Tampa is built in a century-old historic Federal Courthouse with exquisite marble details and great vantage points for their wedding photographer.

Saying I Do

Their wedding ceremony took place just down the street from their hotel in an old bank building. The high ceilings, light colors, and tons of natural light made for an incredible ceremony space.

The room was set with white chivari chairs and lined with chrome-colored lanterns. This led to the area where the couple would exchange their wedding vows, filled with arrangements of lush blush-colored hydrangea.

Escorted by her parents, Allison made her entrance to “Here Comes The Sun.” The second-floor terrace offered a great vantage point to capture every moment.

Cocktails, Family Photos, and A Sneak Peek

Following the wedding ceremony, the couple’s family and friends enjoyed cocktails and lite bites in an adjacent outdoor space while the couple spent time capturing lots of family photos. Meanwhile, the ceremony space was transformed for an evening of dinner and dancing.

The guest tables are draped in soft white linens and topped with modern silver accents. These ranged from unique wire charger plates to lanterns and tall candelabras. Blush floral arrangements, rose gold accents and a wedding favor of tea leaves in glass bottles completed the tabletop.

The couple snuck away from family and friends for a sneak peek at the transformation and a quick run-through of their first dance.

Only Us

The evening began with introductions of the wedding party and newlyweds, where the couple took to the dancefloor for their first dance to “Only Us” from ‘Dear Evan Hansen.’

After welcoming their guests, everyone enjoyed a delicious dinner with entrée selections that included Filet Mignon, Roast Duck, or Mushroom Risotto. Toasts by their wedding party, cake cutting, some photo booth fun, and lots of dancing followed dinner.

After a fantastic evening, the couple made their grand exit under a shower of sparklers before heading off to their honeymoon suite.
