A Secret Garden Wedding

Our Special Moments Event Planning team loved working with Flexi and Mike on their intimate 9.11 Secret Garden wedding.

For Mike who is on active duty in the US Airforce, the date, the red, white and blue details and their choice of caterer all held a special place.

 

The Beginning Of A Beautiful Day

The couple’s wedding day began with a First Look on The Secret Gardens’ lush natural walkways.

Flexi looked stunning in her lace wedding gown with sweetheart neckline accented by a shimmering necklace and matching drop earrings. Mike looked very handsome in his dress blue uniform.

 

 

Following their first look, the couple took some time for photographs with their wedding party. The deep red of the wedding party’s clothes paired with the red and white of the bouquets and boutonnieres, with Mikes’s dark blue uniform finishing the color story.

 

 

Paradise Springs

The intimate outdoor wedding ceremony, under mature trees draped in Spanish moss, was accented with a wooden arbor swagged in flowing white fabric with soft floral accents.

 

 

Flexi and Mike exchanged their wedding vows in a touching wedding ceremony, surrounded by family and close friends. After their first kiss, they made their exit to Signed, Sealed, Delivered by Stevie Wonder.

 

 

 

An Intimate Gathering

Just before the poolside cocktail hour, the couple gathered all of their guests for one fantastic photograph.

 

 

The outdoor wedding reception was set with deep red linen, shimmering gold candles, and a simple carriage lantern filled with flowers on a gold base.

Flexi and Mike’s sweetheart table was dressed in sparkling gold sequin linen with red and white flowers and “Mr. & Mrs.” sign.

 

 

After their first dance, the couple treated their wedding guests to a delicious dinner provided by Mission BBQ. This element was very important to the couple as Mission BBQ was founded on 9.11, and donates to causes supporting veterans and first responders.

St. Louis Style Spare Ribs

Fresh Baked Cornbread

Smoked Salmon

Smoked Corn on the Cob

Collard Greens

Mac-N-Cheese

 

Dinner and Dancing

Another highlight of this amazing intimate wedding was the incredible four-tiered wedding cake. The cake incorporated shades for red with white and beautiful gold accents that also included a quilted pattern with rhinestone accents.
