A Navy and Gold Clearwater Beach Wedding
Earlier this year, our Special Moments Event Planning team had the pleasure of working with newlyweds Kendall and Tyler on their Clearwater Beach wedding weekend.
Their fantastic wedding weekend included several wedding party events, a rehearsal dinner, and a welcome reception for their wedding guests, to name a few.
The Wedding Day Arrives
On the wedding day, the ladies spent the morning relaxing and getting ready in their hotel suite. The Photographers arrived to shoot some photos of the ladies getting ready, the wedding invitation, and some personal accessories.
Kendall looked beautiful in a wedding gown with a modern lace bodice, spaghetti straps, and a deep leg slit. Her all-white bridal bouquet with orchids and garden roses with touches of greenery was the perfect accent.
Tyler looked very handsome in his navy-blue suit, accented with a tan vest, dark tie, and orchid boutonniere. The couple’s dog, Henry, had a matching blue jacket- a fun addition to the wedding party.
First Look
Kendall and Tyler took some time before their wedding ceremony for a first look. We loved the smiles of anticipation and the deeply personal moments they got to spend together.
With This Ring
The outdoor wedding ceremony overlooked the Gulf of Mexico. It was set with white garden chairs decorated with tropical greenery clusters and orchids. Guests were greeted by a collection of gold lanterns and an aisle filled with white rose petals.
The couple chose beautiful classical music for their wedding ceremony. Their family, wedding party, and their dog entering to Pachelbel’s Canon in D.
After that, Kendall, escorted by her father, made her entrance to the Bridal Chorus.
After exchanging rings, the newlyweds sealed their vows with a kiss before recessing to the Wedding March.
Cocktails and Clearwater Beach Sunsets
Wedding guests enjoyed cocktails, passed hors d’oeuvres, and a fun open-air photobooth. At the same time, Kendall and Tyler took advantage of the fantastic sunset for some wedding photos.
Additionally, a lush hedge wall was strung with luggage tags that included escort cards with seating assignments.
Clearwater Beach Wedding Reception
Inside the hotel ballroom, tables were dressed in Navy blue linen. Additionally, they were layered with modern gold mesh charger plates, white napkins, custom menu cards, and an orchid bloom.
Each table’s center was filled with clusters of glass cylinders filled with submerged orchids and floating candles. Votive candles in gold cups added a beautiful shimmer to the tablescape. Each table number included a photo of the bride and groom at that age.
Following the introductions of the wedding party, the couple made their entrance and took the dance floor. For their first dance to ‘You’re The Best Thing’ by Ray LaMontagne.
Immediately after their first dance, the newlyweds cut their sleek modern wedding cake. The alternating round and square layers were accented with Navy blue ribbon and single orchid blooms.
The newlyweds cut the cake early in the evening, which allowed it to be sliced and plated for dessert, to be served immediately after dinner.
Following their cake cutting, the couple took their seats. Our team set the sweetheart table on a riser in front of a white fabric drape accented with twinkle lights. The table was draped with sparkling Navy-blue sequin linen, candles, and tropical flowers. A white leather, tufted loveseat completed the look.
Moving forward, the evening continued with a multi-course plated dinner also included an appetizer, salad, and entrée selections.
I’ll Take The Number Nine!
After dinner, wedding guests enjoyed additional time with the open-air photobooth, parents dances, and a bouquet toss- with a little twist.
It seems the maid of honor and the bride have, on occasion, enjoyed a #9 or two. That would be a McDonald’s Filet of Fish sandwich. Therefore, what started as the bride tossing her bridal bouquet, continued with the bride tossing her dear friend a #9.
Congratulations, Kendall and Tyler
