A Golden Moment

Our Special Moments Event Planning team loved being part of Julianne and John’s beautiful St Petersburg wedding. This beautiful black and white wedding incorporated touches of gold that added to its elegance.

 

 

Julianne wore a soft white Stella York wedding gown with a sweetheart neckline and cap sleeves. For her accessories she selected a gold necklace with a single pearl and matching pearl earrings.  She carried a bouquet of white peonies, hydrangea and calla lilies.

 

 

John wore a sharp looking white dinner jacket with black shawl collar, finishing off the look with a black bow tie with white specks and a white rose boutonniere.

 

 

You could see the excitement of the day as Juliann’s father saw her for the first time, just before escorting her down the aisle to her husband-to-be.

 

 

Julianne and John beamed ear to ear throughout the wedding ceremony; it’s easy to see how in love they are.

 

 

They made their exit from the wedding ceremony under a shower of ribbon wands before heading off with their wedding party for some formal portraits.

 

Wedding guests made their way to the Poynter Institute for Media Studies, a beautiful reception space with clean lines, wooden accents and amazing natural light.

Tables were set with crisp white tablecloths and napkins, as well as black and white custom menu cards and table numbers. Tablescapes alternated between white pillar candles nesting in greenery and monochromatic white centerpieces. Gold charger plates and gold chiavari chairs added a pop of color and warmth to the black and white theme.

 

 

The couple’s sweetheart table sat against a backdrop of flowing white drapery and was accented with clusters of white flowers and greenery as well as gold lotus candleholders.

 

 

After their first dance, Julianne and John sipped champagne and laughed their way through several incredible toasts before enjoying an evening of dinner and dancing.

 

 

The evening also included a fun photo booth and a custom popcorn bar where guests added in their own blends of seasonings and flavorings.

The evening concluded with dessert and this adorable two-tiered buttercream wedding cake topped with fresh flowers and adorable custom designed cake toppers.
