Venue at the Block – Wedding Venue Wednesday

This blog post on The Venue at the Block, our Wedding Venue Wednesday feature this month, will look a little different.

Our Special Moments Event Planning team had the pleasure of working there recently. Alexandra and Kelvin’s wedding was spectacular, but it was so recent we don’t even have photos.

But, we knew we wanted to share this new find with you ASAP. This adorable wedding venue in Dade City has all the feels!

Highland Motor Company

This historic downtown Dade City building dates back to 1920. Originally it was the home to the Highlands Motor Company. But, it housed a number of car dealerships over the last 100 years.

The renovations restored many original details like the exposed brick walls, peak exposed rafter ceiling, and warehouse windows. Other industrial details include pendant lighting and stained and sealed concrete floors.

 

 

All The New Stuff!

The Venue at the Block has over 5,000 square feet of event space. It can accommodate a seated reception for 150-200 guests. In addition to the industrial pendant lighting, they’ve incorporated Market Bistro Lighting.

The indoor bar is a custom creation, and there is an additional outdoor bar for cocktail receptions in their private courtyard.

The courtyard is filled with tropical landscaping but includes artificial turf. So, it’s always beautiful and green but keeps everyone’s shoes clean. It’s the ideal location for an outdoor wedding ceremony.

Other amenities include WIFI, audiovisual equipment, plenty of restrooms, two ready rooms for you and your wedding parties, and a catering prep kitchen.

 

Parking and More

For a downtown location, The Venue at the Block includes more than enough parking for your guests. There is a sizable lot located directly across the street. And included in their package is a golf cart with an attendant to assist with transporting your guests. They can also secure valet parking if you prefer.

The Venue at the Block is a unique new Tampa Bay wedding venue. They offer incredible amenities and have an open vendor list too!
