Our Special Moments Event Planning team had a lot of great moments and stories planning this unique Clearwater Beach wedding. We spent almost 16 months planning Jenna and Kevin’s wedding. Originally it was going to be a destination wedding in Hawaii and then a big party to celebrate, but plans changed.

The recreation center has south and east facing waterfront views providing the backdrop for a beautiful wedding ceremony, and a large wooden deck for the cocktail reception and the social hall, is well, a social hall.

We invested a lot of time working on floor plans and focal points to give Jenna and Kevin that unique, non- cookie cutter wedding.

Jenna’s elegant lace and satin mermaid gown was made all her own with a pair of stunning blue Bagley Mischka pumps with a crystal embellished heel, and a delicate tulle fascinator.

  

Her bridal bouquet was show stopping with  King protea, mango calla lilies, brilliant colored roses, orange and burgundy orchids, thistle and hanging amaranthus.

 

On a trip to Europe, Tammy and her husband Bill visited the flower market in Amsterdam and had a brilliant idea. The hanging bunches of brightly colored flowers inspired the backdrop for their wedding ceremony and a huge focal point at the reception.

The aisle for the sunset wedding ceremony was decorated with white garden chairs, brass lanterns and a wedding arch draped in soft white fabric, and accented with many of the same colorful flowers as Jenna’s bouquet with hanging blooms and scattered rose petals.

All great love stories have one behind the scenes hiccup. Jenna thought the rings were with the groom after the photography session.  However, neither the groom nor the photographer had them at ceremony time.  Alexis from our team made a mad dash back to the hotel, retrieved them and we slid them in just before their vows were to be exchanged.

Guests enjoyed the cocktail reception as the sun set over the Gulf of Mexico while Jenna and Kevin took advantage of the Clearwater Beach and the gulf sunset.

  

Focusing on Tammy’s inspiration, Jenna and Kevin were wowed by the transformation as they entered the rec center. The not so attractive hallway had been transformed using rustic crates and cylinders, as well as a wooden trellis filled with clusters of colorful dried flower bouquets; which they were able to share with guests at the end of the wedding reception.

 

The incredible oversized black and white geometric dancefloor, soft billowing fabric lined ceiling, colorful linen and unique brilliant floral pieces transformed the social hall.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Guests were thrilled by a delicious dinner, and a spectacularly displayed chocolate, chocolate, chocolate wedding cake.

 

Guests were given a unique wedding experience they are sure to talk about for years to come with the addition of a specialty coffee bar, ice cream station and popcorn bar with Birthday Cake, Chicago Steakhouse and Cracker Jack flavored popcorn, to name a few.
