Cookie cutters are NOT for weddings! Since we launched Special Moments Event Planning back in 2004, we’ve always considered ourselves ‘Dream Makers.’
We believe that every wedding should have ‘Special Moments’ regardless of the budget. Each wedding should be a unique representation of you as a couple.
You’re Hired!
We’ve recently had several inquirers in our office only to be told ‘you’re hired, send us a contract.’ Seriously? We’re flattered, but we’ve never met and have barely talked.
The responses have always been similar: ‘We like you because you don’t do cookie-cutter weddings.’
We have couples who have been all over our blog, wedding galleries, and Instagram and came to that same conclusion. And we’re glad they did!
Not all of our weddings are big, lavish, and over the top. And, not all of your weddings have couples doing DIY elements. We’ve worked with very young couples and couples getting married for the second time.

Each wedding is as unique and different as the couples getting married.
Following Wedding Trends
Wedding planning is a funny thing. We’d be lying if we told you we don’t see couples coming in here whose inspiration boards look like the current year’s trends. For example, 2022’s Pantone Color of the Year is Very Peri – a unique shade of periwinkle.
Not that we mind, Tammy’s favorite color is purple, but even the couples who come in with Very Peri inspiration boards will have unique details.
Your Wedding Is As Unique As You
Every wedding venue adds different elements, and every family brings in its dynamics and heritage. Believe it or not, each partner brings their own unique personal style to the table.
Our job as wedding planners is not to plan the wedding of our dreams. We’re here to inspire you and connect you with wedding vendors who will inspire you. They’ll each draw out a little bit more of you to incorporate into your wedding day. Nothing should be cookie cutter.
From the music you select for your first dance to your favorite hors d’oeuvres, from your wedding favors to the design and flavors of your wedding cake. That is, if you have a cake at all, we’ve had couples do their favorite pies, cupcakes, or a table filled with sweets.
