Cassidy and Nic’s Opal Sands Resort Wedding

The Opal Sands Resort was the perfect location for Cassidy and Nic´s beautiful wedding.

From the beautiful waters of the Gulf of Mexico to the amenities for their friends and family visiting from out of town, to the incredible food and service. The wedding weekend was everything they imagined.

Starting at the Beginning

For Cassidy and her wedding party, the day started with on-site hair and makeup services, some fun group photos, and the wedding team capturing wedding details.

 

 

Across the hotel, Nic and the guys were getting dressed, having a quick toast, and taking some fun wedding photos.

 

 

Honest, they were just playing around – Nic didn’t have cold feet!

 

Ladies First

Dressed and ready, it was the bridal party’s turn to see Cassidy in her striking gown before she headed off for her first look with Nic.

 

 

Nic´s Turn!

With Nic standing on a terrace at the Opal Sands Resort, overlooking Clearwater beach and the sparkling blue water, Cassidy made her way to his side. The resulting first look photos were incredible.

 

 

Following their first look, they spent some time capturing photos with their wedding party and immediate family. They then took some downtime to refresh before their wedding ceremony.

 

 

Loving You Was The Easiest Thing I’ve Ever Done

The Opal Sands Resort event lawn was set with white garden chairs leading to a wooden wedding structure overflowing with beautiful fresh flowers. Off to one side, a steel drum player serenaded guests as they gathered for the wedding ceremony.

 

 

Nic entered with his parents, followed by the couple’s wedding party and two very special members of the wedding party. 

 

 

Nic’s Grandparents, AKA Flower Grandparents, made a spectacular entrance, handing out white roses to guests as they made their way down the aisle!

 

 

 

Here Comes The Bride

With everyone gathered, Nic looked on as Cassidy, escorted by her parents, made her entrance to the classic Canon in D.

 

The couple exchanged rings and wedding vows as a sailboat drifted by in the background. Sealing their bond with a kiss, they made their exit for a quick toast and to show their new rings.

 

When In Florida

Immediately following the wedding ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktail hour, which included fresh local Florida seafood, Ceviche, and cocktails, including their signature Espresso Martini.

 

 

We’ve seen couples toast like this with Champagne, but never with Jumbo Shrimp! It was adorable.

 

 

Time Together

The newlyweds took time away from their wedding guests for their portrait session around the Opal Sands Resort and on Clearwater Beach. The results were magical!

 

 

Sun and Sea

Just outside the Opal Sands Resort’s Sun and Sea Ballroom, guests could find their table assignments on a beautiful, gold-toned, mirrored seating chart.

 

 

Inside the ballroom were a guest book and an incredible collection of family photos from loved ones, which was a charming touch.

 

 

The room was arranged around an oversized, custom dance floor. Tables were draped with crisp white linens and adorned with beautiful floral arrangements, complemented by gold charger plates featuring custom menu cards and gold chivari chairs, which completed the elegant look.

Their sweetheart table was decorated with all of the repurposed floral decor from their wedding ceremony, framing the table perfectly.

 

 

Off to one side was the couple’s sleek, three-tiered wedding cake accented with a few fresh floral blooms.

 

 

Let’s Get The Party Started

Following introductions, the newlyweds took to the dance floor for their first dance to “Joy Of My Life” by Chris Stapleton.

 

 

The evening continued with parent dances and several heartfelt toasts, followed by a delicious multi-course dinner, before it was time for the cake cutting.

 

 

With the dance floor open, everyone danced the night away, stopping just long enough for a fun late-night snack of McDonald’s Burgers and Nuggets. Finally closing out the evening with a last dance to “Only Wanna Be With You” by Hootie and the Blowfish.
