A Star Spangled Wedding!

We thought the 4th of July was the perfect time to feature this fun, beautiful Special Moments Event Planning couple.

This wedding was hosted at BridgePoint (previously known as Mirror Lake Lyceum), located in downtown St. Petersburg, Florida. This beautiful Mediterranean Revival style building was constructed in 1926 and retains much of its rich history, fixtures, and furnishings.

The couple chose a fun and unique Red, White and Blue theme and incorporated individualized details into their day.

Bonnie selected this show-stopping blue and white vintage-inspired gown paired with a fascinator, and white and red dresses for her bridal party.

Bonnie’s bouquet combined classic red roses with white freesia and lisianthus with some seeded eucalyptus for added texture.

Marcus and the guys looked sharp in their blue pants, white shirts and red suspenders with their standout stars and stripes socks.

Marcus and Bonnie had their First Look in the privacy of their balcony, set against the textured backdrop of the curved ceiling followed by photos in downtown St Pete near the beautiful Mirror Lake.

Mason jars painted in Red and White were filled with white hydrangea, bright red hypericum berries, and blue delphinium. This simple décor element did double duty: in the deep window ledges with mercury glass votive candles, during the ceremony and then on the guest tables during the reception.

The tables were draped with vintage lace runners and layered with handmade monogrammed wood slices, mason jars filled with flowers, unique laser cut table numbers and an assortment of vintage-inspired votive candles.

Other fun details included a Pie Bar with classic Amish pies, and nothing says American like apple pie! The pies were served on an assortment of vintage plates labeled with the name of the family member who donated them.

This couple truly goes together like Peanut Butter and Jelly and their wedding favor said it all. The bride’s mother made gift bags including miniature mason jars of (INSANELY DELICIOUS) homemade Amish style peanut butter, homemade strawberry jam and Ritz crackers. We are willing to bet these never made it home. (Ours didn’t!!!)

The couple closed out their day with flags waving and an escape in a vintage white convertible.
