A Dog-gone Adorable Saint Petersburg Wedding

Back in February, before we knew what the rest of the year would be like, our Special Moments Event Planning team had the pleasure to work with Melynda and Nick.

Their wedding was adorable. That is truly the only way to describe their wedding day filled with unique, touching, and personal moments. We’re so glad we got to be part of their day.

 

Marry Me Tampa Bay

Recently, their wedding was featured in Marry Me Tampa Bay.  But with so many fun touches, we knew we had to showcase more of their St Petersburg wedding.

 

 

Making Her Dad Cry

Melynda looked amazing in her organza and lace Stella York wedding gown. Her bridal bouquet, ivory, and blush roses with ranunculus and dusty miller, was accented with three family lockets.

 

 

After getting ready, Melynda had a special moment having a first look with her dad. Needless to say, this moment and several others during the day were emotional for him.

 

 

A Grateful Groom

Nick looked handsome in his royal blue vested suit with a light blue necktie. How cute is the card from his bride-to-be with Grateful Dead bears and his Grateful Dead cufflinks?

 

 

Nick’s white boutonniere also had a photo locket, a lovely touch we don’t often see.

 

 

 

A Waterfront Wedding Ceremony

The couple’s wedding ceremony was set on the waterway’s edge with two large palms framing the wedding arch. A white fabric drape and swag of white flowers and greenery set the perfect backdrop.

 

 

We adore this wedding program. It gives wedding guests a timeline for the entire day and the order of the wedding ceremony.

 

 

Everybody Stare At Nick

How funny is the first line of the ceremony program that reads – ‘Everybody stare at Nick’

As parents and the wedding party made their entrance, all eyes were on Nick. That is until Melynda, and her dad made their entrance!

 

 

The couple exchanged their wedding vows before heading off for some time alone and some fantastic wedding photos.

 

 

Cocktails and Small Bites

Another cute touch was a watercolor bar menu that showcased signature cocktails and beer and wine offerings.

 

 

Along with their cocktails, wedding guests enjoyed some delicious hand passed appetizers, including Shrimp Cocktail Shooters, Teriyaki Meatballs, and Bruschetta.

 

Saltwater Hippie

Another show-stopping detail was this teal colored vintage pickup truck. The newlyweds spent time together taking photos – and the results are spectacular!

 

 

Not only is this photo super cute, but these are adoptable puppies from a local shelter brought in for wedding guests to meet during the cocktail hour. BRILLIANT!

 

 

 

Simple Elegant Wedding Reception

Inside the ballroom, tables were set with crisp white linen, silver napkins, centerpieces of greenery, hurricane globes, and twinkling fairy lights.

 

 

As they entered, wedding guests created a photo guest book for the couple – and ‘Shake It Like A Polaroid Picture!’

 

 

After the newlyweds’ entrance and first dance, guests we welcomed by the bride’s mother before enjoying a delicious dinner. Three chef attended pasta stations served up pasta with Chicken, Italian Meatballs, or Plant-Based Italian Sausage.

Following dinner, Melynda and Nick cut their custom-designed wedding cake. A delicious naked carrot cake decorated with fresh blueberries, blackberries, and mint. In addition to the wedding cake, guests enjoyed a huge selection of miniature desserts.
