Sunset and Sailboats
The weekend of Veronica and Scott’s Opal Sands wedding on Clearwater Beach started out a little stormy; the wedding rehearsal ended in high winds, driving rain and tornado alerts were popping up on everyone’s cell phones.
Fortunately, things cleared by that evening’s rehearsal dinner and the weather the next day for their wedding could not have been more picture perfect.
Veronica looked beautiful in her lace wedding gown, carrying a bouquet of full white and pale pink roses, accented with blue delphinium and eucalyptus. Her bridal party wore complimenting pink wrap style bridesmaids dresses with bouquets in pink and white.
Their wedding ceremony on the Opal Sands event lawn overlooked the Gulf of Mexico as the sun began to set, with sailboats drifting by in the background. A simple wooden arch was adorned with bursts of greenery, white hydrangea, and roses setting the stage for Veronica and Scott’s wedding vows and sand ceremony.
Family and wedding party photographs were followed with a shower of sparklers and the couple then headed to the beach and rock wall for their personal wedding portraits.
Inside, the ballroom was draped in soft fabric with the couple’s name and wedding date projected above their sweetheart table opposite the wall of windows overlooking the gulf.
The reception was dressed in navy blue linen with pink satin napkins while the sweetheart table shimmered in pink sequins. The tablescapes included rustic wood slices topped with rose gold vases of white hydrangea and pink roses, surrounded by rose gold votive candles and gold table numbers.
Each place setting was set with a double-sided menu card; the first side with a Thank You from the bride and groom and the second side listed the evening’s meal.
Guests dined on a salad of arugula and spinach dressed with bacon, apples, pears, pistachios and goat cheese with a sherry maple vinaigrette. The entrée of pan seared filet mignon with port wine sauce was paired with parmesan crusted grouper with a rose sauce; the duo was served with fine herb risotto and fresh seasonal vegetables.
The two-tiered white buttercream wedding cake with a custom monogrammed cake topper was the focal point of a huge display of bite-sized sweet treats that closed out the reception while guests danced the night away.
Congratulations Veronica and Scott, your wedding was beautiful!
Thank you to all of the Tampa bay wedding vendors who made this day such a huge success.
