Sometimes, you meet people when you least expect it, things just click and you know it was meant to be.
That is exactly what happened with our Special Moments Event Planning team, Skotti, and her mom; two months before Skotti and Leo’s incredible wedding at the Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay.
Here is what Skotti had to say in a recent online review:
Special Moments Event Planning was absolutely incredible on our wedding day! We had hired a different planner over a year out from our wedding who went MIA on us less than 2 months before our big day. My Mom reached out to Tammy, we set up a phone call, hired her, and she came to a meeting at our venue the NEXT day. Not only did she attend the meeting, but she knew every single one of our vendors, their contracts, and what questions to ask our on-site coordinator. Our wedding day ran flawlessly. Every single minute was accounted for in the timeline they created and I knew I didn’t have to worry about a single thing. It was perfect from start to finish. My only regret is not hiring Special Moments sooner!!
Yes, two months before the wedding I got a call from her mother that their ‘wedding planner’ disappeared. We chatted on the phone, mom booked our team and the next day we were off to the Grand Hyatt for a meeting. And the rest, as they say, is history.
The wedding was beautiful with some fun, touching and unique elements.
As Skotti dressed for her wedding day, she chose to do a first look with her wedding party, who had never seen her wedding gown.
She chose lace embellished ballgown with a sweetheart neckline and long illusion sleeves. A fun and surprising accent to her wedding attire were these amazing silver sparkle sneakers. The perfect way to be comfortable on your wedding day.
After their church ceremony, the couple made their way back to the Grand Hyatt and its nature preserve for some photos along Tampa Bay.
This photo is probably one of my favorite images, it suits them perfectly.
After an emotional sneak peek at their wedding reception Skotti and Leo were sure it was the perfect setting for an exciting night. The room was centered around an oversized white dance floor with the head table to one side and guest tables surrounding the dance floor.
The wall behind the long head table was draped in white with Skotti and Leo’s names and wedding date projected behind them. The guest tables were covered in white satin, accented with silver charger plates and tall floral arrangements in white and soft pink. Crystal acrylic chiavari chairs were the perfect finishing touch.
Skotti and Leo started the evening with their first dance, followed by a father-daughter dance that took Skotti by surprise. Big fans of Tom Petty, who had passed not too long before the wedding, her dad designed a video montage of the two of them. He included concert photos and set it all to the music of Tom Petty. The perfect touch, personal and something they had always enjoyed together.
The night was filled with memories, dancing, delicious wedding cake and some fun with glowsticks.
Congratulations Skotti and Leo, we’re so glad you came into our lives!
Thank you to the awesome wedding vendors who made this day a dream.
