Recycling at your Wedding

Recycling?  What ???  Where ???  How???  Just wait and you will see.

Last week I promised to share with you about our Special Moments Team adventure at  Powel Crosley Estate.

This was a beautiful Fairy tale wedding.

It was my first time at the venue, all the details and history is just stunning.

In this case lot’s of walking in and out, up and down, unfortunately it comes with the glamorous job of being a wedding planner and designer, but if you got comfortable shoes on it makes it a little bit better ( a few pairs )

Sarah and Brian picked a beautiful spot by the water for their Chuppah to be built and draped for their ceremony.

As we unloaded our cars and trailer, me and Tammy started to build the structure, ( rest of the team worked on different projects ) with the help of my Fairy Godmother Tammy, Chuppah was up in no time and the show was on.

Draping and some more draping. The wind ( my friend for life and yes we are on a first name bases now 😉  was not as bad as last week. It was still windy but now  I know how to dance with wind.

Draping was flowing in the  breeze and it created this amazing romantic feel, I just wanted to sit there and relax.

This beautiful Chuppah took me over 2 and 1/2 hours of building and draping – 14 pieces of fabric and countless up and down the ladder, but it was absolutely worth the reward when Sarah and Brian saw it for the first time and I must admit it took my breath away as well.

Wait, there is more, Sarah loved the idea of having flowers all over the Chuppah ( but she was concerned that the cost of the floral decor for the Chuppah would exceed the budget, hold that thought we will come back to that in a minute ) so when my magic was done, Apple Blossom Floral Design – took over and totally knocked it out of  the park, I had to take a seat for a second to truly enjoy the beauty and I think Sarah’s vision come to life beautifully.

Then the ceremony started and I caught a quick photo of the two of them exchanging vows for you ,so you can feel like you were there with them.

After the ceremony, pictures were taken by Kristina Houser Photography, cocktail hour was in full swing and The The Special Moments Team assisted the Florist with transferring the beautiful flowers from the Chuppah inside for the reception to became centerpieces for the reception. ( this is the key, we were able to re purpose all of the florals to become the centerpieces, decor for the dessert table and in several other locations .)
